What makes this different

This is not a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all retreat

This is a structured Neuro-Visual Performance Training program built around a focused in-office visit and supported by long-term follow-through.

It is built around functional vision: how you find, identify, understand, and respond to what you see in real life. Not just how small a line you can read on an eye chart.

Your plan combines multiple treatments into one coordinated approach. It is shaped by how your brain and visual system are working together, then matched to the level of support you need.

Research supports office-based therapy for improving how the eyes and brain work as a team. This program builds on that evidence with an integrated model designed for lasting results.

How the Program Works:

Each program follows the same structure: prepare before you travel, complete focused in-office care, then continue training with support at home.

Phase 1

Pre-Arrival

Your program starts before you travel so your in-office time has a clear purpose.

  • Virtual onboarding visit
  • Initial screening and planning
  • At-home preparation activities
  • Access to patient tools and next steps
  • Clear goals before arrival
Phase 2

In-Office Intensive

This focused 6–12 day phase helps establish a strong starting point for the work that follows.

  • Structured daily schedule
  • Care based on your program level
  • May include vision therapy, OMST, syntonics, perceptual training, and multisensory work
  • Build a clearer baseline for long-term progress
Phase 3

Continuation Program

This is where long-term change is reinforced through guided practice, support, and follow-up.

  • Remote sessions and guided home work
  • Progress checks and plan updates
  • Support that helps new visual pathways get stronger over time
  • Like learning to ride a bike, practice helps skills become more natural
Program options

What to Know
Before You Travel

Our program is designed for patients who can commit to a focused in-office phase and structured follow-through after they return home. Before scheduling, we will review your case to be sure this model is a good fit.

Because each session is highly interactive and individualized, patients need to be able to communicate clearly with our team in English or with a dedicated interpreter arranged by the family or care partner.

If you are traveling from out of state or overseas, we may request diagnostic records from your local eye doctor or rehabilitation team. This helps us confirm that Neuro-Visual Performance Training is appropriate before you plan an in-office intensive.

For local patients, in-office visits are typically scheduled several times per week over a number of months. For out-of-town patients, we condense this work into a defined 6–12 day intensive, followed by guided remote support to extend the total program to as long as 32 weeks.

Our team can share general guidance about timing your stay and the daily therapy schedule. However, families and patients are responsible for arranging their own travel, lodging, visas, and other logistics that may be required.

If you are considering traveling to NVPI, the first step is a brief intake conversation with a Patient Care Coordinator. We will discuss your goals, review basic medical history, and outline what an in-office intensive and follow-through plan could look like for your situation.
