Dr. Rick Graebe, O.D., FOVDR, is one of the most experienced behavioral optometrists in the United States. A graduate of Indiana University — where he earned both his degree in Visual Science and his Doctorate of Optometry — Dr. Graebe has dedicated more than four decades to redefining what it means to truly see and thrive.
As the founder of the Neuro-Visual Performance Institute (NVPI) in Versailles, Kentucky, he leads one of the most comprehensive, holistic neuro-visual training and neuro-rehabilitation practices in the eastern United States. Founded in 1999, NVPI has grown into a multi-location specialty clinic serving patients from more than 800 zip codes across Central and Southern Kentucky and beyond.

Dr. Graebe is one of a select group of international optometrists to achieve triple board certification through the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA) — in Vision Therapy, Pediatric Developmental Vision Care, and Vision Rehabilitation.
He trained under Dr. Don Teig, the sports vision optometrist for the New York Yankees and numerous NBA and Olympic athletes, and has presented to nearly 500 optometrists at the Kentucky Optometric Association Spring Congress. A former track athlete at Indiana University, he trained alongside Olympic Gold Medalist Bruce Jenner.
